You will see the Bowman name-board on award-winning projects at schools, churches, country houses, one-off homes and boutique hotels - these very visible building and restoration contracts are complemented by a busy insurance claim business and a long-standing reputation in custom joinery and in bespoke masonry work.
Bowman employs more than 75 in-house craftsmen and women with traditional and much-prized skills, including slaters, joiners, masons and conservators. Many of these craftsmen started their careers at Bowman as apprentices. Continuity, stability and familiar, friendly faces are vitally important to our customers and that’s one of the key reasons they keep coming back. Bowman is more than 120 years old and remains privately owned. It trades as E. Bowman & Sons Ltd in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
